We are four months into high season and I am pleased to report a noteworthy increase in activity at Apes Hill Club both in rounds of golf played along with an increase in food & beverage consumption.

 Barbados have gotten off to great start in their campaign as they seek revenge in the 2013 Indian Polo Tour. Coming out swinging in the opening game against the visitors on Saturday at the Apes Hill ground, the local team enjoyed a 5-2 win led by an impressive beaver-trick from Jamie Dickson.

Even though it’s the furthest island to the southeast in the Caribbean, which means a lengthy haul from Toronto, Barbados has long been one of the most popular tourist destinations for winter-weary Canadians. Football Legends shine in Barbados Sports presenter Matt Lorenzo played host and reporter at the inaugural British Airways Football Legends Invitational Tournament, featuring a host of star names.

During the last 18 months Apes Hill Club has been offering owners a professional Project Management Service to assist with the design and construction of their Villa. Various House Plans are available with build costs from $1,100,000 USD. This service has been a huge welcome for many owners who wish to build homes but cannot be in Barbados to manage the construction of their home.

On July 2nd Apes Hill Club sponsored the Charity Polo Cup held at Watership Down, the estate of Lord and Lady Lloyd Webber. The match was hosted to raise funds for the “Tusk Trust” supported by HRH Prince William as well as “Sentebale”, the trust of HRH Prince Harry of Wales. St. James, Barbados — ST. JAMES, Barbados — All I knew about Barbados prior to a spring visit there to check out a new Landmark Land Company venture called Apes Hill Club was that it  must be a pretty special place, given that Tiger Woods, with the clear option of going anywhere in the world, chose to come to this paradise in the Caribbean for his wedding.

On March 23rd Apes Hill Club were proud to host British Boyband "Blake" to perform for Apes Hill owners and guests. The event was held under the stars at the beautiful Moonshine Ridge show home. Ollie Baines, Jules Knight, Stephen Bowman and Humphrey Berney mesmerized the guests with their mix of classical and pop song with rich harmony vocals.

On Sunday 20th March Apes Hill Club donated the course to raise funds for the Duke of Edingburg Award scheme. The event was a huge success in ad of this charitable cause and well attended by members and guests of Apes Hill Club.

ST. JAMES, BARBADOS – Apes Hill Club  has achieved designation as a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, an Audubon International program. Edward Paskins, Course Superintendent, has led the effort to obtain sanctuary status on this course and is being recognized for Environmental Stewardship by Audubon International.
