Course Update from our Golf Superintendant

By Laura Williams on Tuesday, February 14, 2012

After a very wet few months the rains seems to have held off and the course is drying out .Last "rainy" season was one of the wettest we have had on record! Green speed is running at around 7 feet on the stimp but will be increasing over next few months. To help increase speed we will be sand topdressing greens lightly every month this will improve the smoothness of the putting surface and increase the speed, so read your putts carefully as speed will make putts very tricky along with the trade winds blowing hard off the east coast.  Good luck on 13 green unlucky for some!! Enjoy your golf and I will see you out there
